Recycled Crowns Workshops 2021

Georgina invited kids for their first visit back to the State Library Victoria (after COVID) to make their very own RECYCLED CROWN. Utilising an assortment of colourful “waste” materials they adorn a handmade headpiece and create some wearable art. Children aged 4+ helped welcome back the Library by becoming the Kings & Queens of waste reduction. Children were able to reimagine everyday throw-away objects (bottle tops, plastic off-cuts, old stickers and more!) as decorative jewels, creatively celebrate the Library and innovative ways to recycle together. We are all capable of making a difference to our environment, no matter your age!
